04/05/21 Day Twenty-One - That Time the Gilmores Were Beefing

So another four-episode streak...

First of all, the burn from Emily’s read on Mrs. Huntzberger, yo. I think I have blisters.

And when Mitchum Huntzberger showed up at the party and Rory’s having a heart attack.  (sigh)

But evil bastard that he is, he’s basically right. Instead of that experience being Rory’s origin story, she let it derail her life. He didn’t say that, but he might as well had. Yeah. He’s an ass, but if she had any self-respect, well…*sigh*

And Richard running to Lorelai about how they need to get her back in school. (laughs hysterically) The irony. But the whole thing with him lamenting about Rory. And Emily going “WE HAVEN’T FAILED UNLESS SHE’S PREGNANT” right in front of Lorelai. Maaaan. These people are a mess.

And Rory’s 21st birthday...wait, wait...she was born on Halloween? She wasn’t born on Halloween before?

Sorry. Sorry. Thinking too hard.

Emily going, “We’re going to invite your ASIAN friend…Oh, she has a boyfriend?” like She’s Asian! How did she do that? (snort)

And again, Lorelai’s all “I’M NOT GOING TO RORY’S BIRTHDAY PARTY BECAUSE THEY CAN’T WIN!!”  Again. Ain’t nobody playing but her dumb ass.  I swear. At least she finally went when she realized it wasn’t a ruse because...why would the girl’s 21st birthday party thrown by her grandparents be a ruse?

And Logan? So. This show eluded to bad boyfriend drama and I’m still waiting. He’s not a bad boyfriend. I’m gonna need him to be Ted Bundy at this point to warrant actual hate.

OMG OMG, and speaking of Logan. So, Richard and Emily realize that Rory’s screwing and they thought, hey, let’s bring in a priest to talk to her! They don’t go to church! WTH was that?  And then Rory basically told him, “Yeah, too late buddy. Been banging holes in the wall for at least two boyfriends. My virtue is a thing of the past.”

And here comes Jess, just in time for Rory to be bored of Logan. Yes, folks, the monkeybar queen is about to swing to another boyfriend. At least he wrote a book.

That scene was ridiculous. Coming home after a night of drinking, so, like, 3 in the morning. Ex-boyfriend comes creeping into your yard AT 3 IN THE MORNING to talk. Really? Yeah, come on up. OMG, you wrote a book. I love you now.

As someone who has written a book or two, I wish it was that easy.

And they all go out together, her Logan, Jess and Rory. Logan does what boyfriends do when the ex shows up. Treat the ex-boyfriend like dirt. In fact, he wasn’t even as jerky to him as Dean was, actually.  Anyway, I’m not even mad at him. If Rory had any sense, she would NEVER have gone out with the both of them. That was stupid.

You know what really pisses me off though? Literally, EVERYBODY SAYS WHAT JESSE SAYS TO HER ABOUT HER DROPPING OUT OF YALE AND TURNING INTO A SPOILED RICH KID AND SHE ONLY LISTENS TO HIM. HER OWN FRICKIN’ BOYFRIEND EVEN CALLS HER ON IT AT LEAST TWICE!! What kind of penis magic does this boy have on her?

But anyway…

Rory finally falls out with Emily, though. I’m not looking forward, but I imagine the next episode is her going back home to Lorelai Sr. Thank God I’ve only got one more season of this show.
